How do I tell MS that their optional update is wrong?
My home made Windows 7 Home Premium machine upgraded from XP PRO was running great until I installed an optional upgrade - for ATI HD 2600 (installed on my PC) as listed on the Windows update site. Restarting the PC failed. A DOS screen indicted an addition to the Autoexec.bat that was applicable ONLY to the HD 2400 series. System Restore failed. Fortunately I had an Acronis Home image that returned my machine to a working shape.
