Old man, me, having a nostalgic moment:
Ken joined SF about a month before me, some two and a half years ago. Back then we both were avid SF Gadget users, spending a lot of time there chatting. A few first months our post count as well as rep was about the same, then he really found his passion (No, Jan, I'm not talking about you) and started to be one of the most productive members around here.
Today I see his post count is three times of mine, the rep zillion times. It is starting to be quite difficult to find a member Ken has not helped, always polite and friendly, always straight to the point no bulls*** responses. I admire and respect him enourmosly, not only because he was The Friend who helped me to find my place here during our endless chats, but also because he has made that post count and those medals posting responses to people fighting with different issues, not like me half of the post count coming from Chillout Room.
I miss our chats on SF Gadget, Ken.
Your virtual friend,
Kari
Kari
It has been quite a while since Gadget days but in a way I still use its equivalent. Doesn't seem like over 2 years but, hey, time flies.
Re: post count, I just had more free time to be online than most.
My philosophy has always been to pass it on, as others have done for me. One kind guru took pity on me and showed me how to do analysis and I continued to do that for others.
As to your admiration, it is reciprocal. We both seem to have our niche and I read your posts whenever I can find them.
I don't have the time to hang in chillout, etc, as I once did because I am spread really thin but I too miss the IM chats, and gadget chats.
It is comforting to know that you are still active here.
Be happy Kari, life is too short not too.
Ken
