I sometimes try to post in BSOD threads and for that I need hardware help very often. I PM the hardware guys for their suggestions. They post in the appropriate threads. The call may be private, but the activity is open.

BTW, most of the hardware guys hang out in the Hardware and Graphics Card forum. Just read through the threads, you can learn a lot about hardware. If you have a question, post there. Someone will always be happy to help you. That's pretty much where I hang out, and have learned a lot.
