Req'd to have Install Media in Drive to Boot - Why?

Hi, I'm
My adventure re-installing W-7 continues...The inconvenience of the machine stating "No Operating System" upon a Restart was due to what was, I thought, a "not clean" install of W-7 Pro.
After a "clean" re-install though, the same message would appear.
"Aha", I thought, the message was due to not activating W-7.
Sure enough, upon activating W-7 by phone, Restart didn't give that msg.
Now, a few minutes ago, upon booting from Power Off, I read "No Operating System" which didn't appear when I had the W-7 Install Media in the drive and powered up.
Is there a fix? I don't think it's right to require the Install Disk every time a boot occurs. I've done re-installs with this same machine & same Install disk and not rec'd that msg.

No, you don`t need a disc in the drive to run windows, I`d try installing again.

Do you have the boot order set to

1) DVD drive
2) Hard drive

Everything in your screenshot looks right.

Having windows activated should have nothing to do with a fresh install, you have 30 days to activate

it like you are running a computer game.
go to bios>booting sequence and move your internal hdd on top,save and exit.
even it doesnt solve install easybcd software.
run that,under diaplay mode see Boot Deive whether its C: or not..
if not then go to advanced setting and change it to C:

I'd also move HDD to first device to boot in BIOS setup.

Then boot the Win7 disk using one-time BIOS Boot menu key shown on BIOS splash screen, to run a few Startup Repairs, at reboot remove disk to see if it boots on its own.
