Most dvd burners are capable of burning a dual layer disc. You can look up the model you have to find out. VSO makes a small tool you can install that gives you all the info on your burner including the firmware version.

vso inspector CD and DVD scanning reporting tool test if your media is read error free

Just find what model you have and google it and you should find something saying if it is able to burn dual layer.

Chances are though your drive is probably new enough that it has dual layer capability.

Also remember burning a dual layer is going to be painfully slow compared to burning a standard dvd.
