Rescue disk question(s)

Hi,

Are rescue disks used for multiple issues? If so, could somebody please let me know when they should be used, and if there are any that they recommend. I am not experiencing any issues at the moment, I just don't know much about them and am hoping an expert on here can explain it a little more in detail.

Sometimes they can work,
I'd prefer using system images which does have startup repair as well
When you first open Reflect it will prompt you to create the recovery cd or flash media and it is pretty much the same and probably more reliable than windows recovery disk

As to how they are used, if your boot files get messed up and you can't boot your computer, that is when you can use it. It gets the PC going so that you can then make changes to get it booting normally. == As Thrash said above, having an Image is much preferable. You should definitely start using images. Download the program, it is free. I have done it for about 10 years. I make an image every Saturday night. The program will automatically make one. I leave my PC on all of the time and at 2 AM Saturday night an image of my system is made to a separate disk. Several times I have used it. If your PC boot files get messed, you just restore the last image, it takes 15 minutes and it puts all of the files back on your PC as they were when the image was made. You are then good to go as if there was never a problem. == If you have other questions about making an image, please ask.
