Resizing Window Size

Hi everybody sorry if that has been posted before :(

Simple question really is there a F button or some other combination that will open a window to it's maximum viewing size? I am so fed up of stretching it wide with the mouse :(

Irritating that since around 7048 no known fix for setting default IE8 windows size has worked.

It is the only remaining bug that hasn't been worked out, for me.

I finally gave up and downloaded WindowSizer to my systray.
 
No i don't mean IE8 I just mean a window in WIN 7 in general for example I want to save a file to my external drive. it always opens a small window that I then have to resize to get to where I want to save it to :(

Well it's spose to be that you drag it to the size you want, then click the Resize box next to the red X a couple of times and it should remember the position.

There are other fixes but that one still works on my explorer windows.
