This looked to me the best palce to post this.
I resized my M: partition which holds my personal data and would like to add that unallocated space to my C:\ which holds windows and my program files.
The space says it is unallocated but when I go to resize the C:\ it doesnt appear there is any space to use. I dont understand. Please help. Thank you so much. Im using EASEUS Partition Master but I think i've had a similar problem with partition magic.

Try Partition Wizard. Also if you posted a disk manager screen shot we could see how stuff is laid out.

We might need to see an attachment of your Disk Management window. Use the Snipping tool to capture it.

Certain partitions will only resize certain ways, and if it is in use, it may not work anyway. Booting to a third party partitioning software, as suggested, will usually work. But always be careful and backup just in case something goes wrong.

If you are running the program from Windows, it's limited what it can do. If you boot a CD, such as Partition Wizard boot CD, you can do more because the HD isn't locked by running Windows from it.

maybe you could run something like defraggler and analyze your drive, see if any red blocks appear at the end of all the blocks,if there is any this will prevent you from resizing/changing your partition as it will read as full from one end of drive to the other

The tool to move System Files blocking shrinking is Perfect Disk 10 trial version - offline defragger.

If you post back a screenshot and tell us exactly what you want and where, we can give you the steps.

Use Snipping Tool in Start Menu, attach file using paper clip in Reply Box.

Im using EASEUS Partition Master but I think i've had a similar problem with partition magic.

If you actually mean the commercial program Partition Magic, don't use it. It does not understand NTFS partitions newer than XP.

Unless you can post a screen shot so we can see your disk layout, there's nothing much can be done.

The best tool to use for Win7 resizing is free Partition Wizard bootable CD.

If you will post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map, along with what you wish to place where, we can give you the exact steps which preserve your Win7 bootability.

Use Snipping Tool in start menu - attach file using paper clip in reply box.
