How do i reset resizing, for everything?

I just bought a new display that is bigger, but i need a HDMI adapter to get 1080p, but it will take a month so i just have 720p for now, and i wanted everything to be correctly placed. I had a 1080p display and now i'm using a 720p, but now everything is wrongly placed, the sites layout are horrible, and i wanted to know how to reset it.

Oh by the way, i'm using VGA, if i use DVI will i get 1080p?

Thanks,
Alex.

Hello Alex,

You should get the same resolution with DVI as you would with HDMI, so do try connecting a DVI (graphic card) to DVI (monitor) cable to see what resolution you can change to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

DVI is exactly the same video interface as HDMI (uses the same data signals), but HDMI also includes audio capability.

DVI is exactly the same video interface as HDMI (uses the same data signals), but HDMI also includes audio capability.

I bought a HDMI cable with DVI adapter. Its working perfectly!
It seems that all the resizing problems are gone, and it supports 1080p.
However, when in 1080p the image gets ugly, and it seems i have to adjust the borders so everything shows correctly.

Any ideas? It says FULL 1080p support in my TV.
It looks like a JPG image actually. Thats the best way to describe it.
Thanks,
Alex.

Since this is a HDTV instead of a computer monitor, then this is normal to may have to "adjust desktop size and position" in the NVIDIA Control Panel a bit to fit the screen when connected to the TV's HDMI input instead of DVI input. It's fine to run it like this though.

I have to do this when I connect the laptop to the HDTV's HDMI input in my living room.

Once you have it adjusted the first time, you will not have to do it again until the next NVIDIA driver update is installed.
