Hi there. I have an 8800 GT Nvidia video card with the up to date driver and have a Polaroid FLM-323B tv i use for a monitor. Prior to testing out 7 beta, i used windows xp. I have an issue with my resolution where its forcing me to 1280x1024. When i had windows xp, i was able to set the resolution to(and probably voiding warranty on said tv) 1600x1200. I had no issues with this resolution on xp. The Nvidia control panel will let me set it to the higher resolution but, windows keeps reverting it to the lower. Is there anyway i can get windows 7 to allow this resolution? Or is there any driver i can install using as proxy that will work since polariod doesnt seem to make drivers?

Have you installed your drivers yet? If you have, try setting the resolution through the drivers. If not try through Windows (if you haven't already done that).

EDIT: Or vice versa

Hi Helsmire,

You don't need a driver for your monitor.
Have you tried uninstalling the Nvidia drivers, rebooting and install from the Nvidia website (turn off anti-virus when downloading driver) again? :)

7 enforces the EDID Extended display identification data - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia information provided to the graphics driver from the monitor. If you use this http://www.entechtaiwan.com/files/moninfo.exe to dump your EDID I will add whatever custom modes you'd like to try.
