Hardware involved:
lenovo t440s with 256GB SSD (59GB free out of 238GB on windows)
Desktop computer with several HDD all 1TB+ in size, lots of free space
What I would like to do is connect the two via ethernet and somehow create a disk image of the laptop and store it in a file on one of my desktop HDDs. The problem I am thinking about is what happens if I wanted to restore the disk image, over ethernet? I guess this would have to be done outside of windows, but how exactly would I carry that out from the pre-windows environment? Does the 'macrium' program mentioned on this forum cover this ability?
thanks!
