Restore Disk Missing HP_P2PP_LOG File

I recently bought a dv7-4263cl laptop used. Most times I don't buy used, but at $200, I couldn't pass it up. The guy told me that his kids had crashed it, and deleted the recovery partition by mistake, trying to fix it, before they told him. But -- he said that he had all 6 of the recovery cd's, so I bought it. Tried to run the disk, but when it gets to the end, it says that the file HP_P2PP_LOG is missing. I can't make another set of disk, so what do I do, besides pay HP for a set. I have the file, (zip) but when I try to run it, it ask for a password. So -- I'm stuck. How do I get this file to my computer ?? Anyone have a clue about the needed password. I'm using it but can't use any of the HP programs. I did a custom install using my legit oem windows 7 disk, and downloaded some drivers, but can't get it to install my webcam program, media card reader program, etc. Can anyone help me ???

Why would you try to reinstall the HP factory install which is the worst possible install one can have of Win7, larded with bloatware and duplicate utilities that interfere with better versions built into Win7? All factory installs suffer from this but HP is by far the worst - you're not ever even going to experienceWin7 native performance on that PC until you do what most tech enthusiasts do and Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

Everything needed is in the blue link to get and keep a perfect install of Win7, the opposite of the install you're struggling to have now.

I would delete all partitions during the booted install to get it cleanest, although if bootable diagnostics will run you can save the HP utility partition. If per chance the Recovery partition is still there and you can get it to run HP System Recovery then I'd see if it offers the Minimal Recovery discussed in Reinstall tutorial, as this will save a lot of time and leave out all the bloatware. You'd only need to delete the HP Wireless manager in Control Panel to use Win7's superior wireless manager.
