Restore icon

How i restore the original icon for DLL. files.

I want the unknown application back.

I tried using the Set associations from Control Panel, but it point me to another application , not the "unknown"...

It does not bring it back to the old, just make choose new and different applications to open the file.....

Hello ZULU,

Merging the REG file below should restore the icon for you. It restores all of the default DLL associations. You may need to log off and log on afterwards to apply though.

This registry file did the trick, now i have the original "gears"for DLL files....
