I normally create a restore point before installing new software. That way I know I can use that so that I keep my computer cleaner than using uninstall if I don't like piece of software.

One thing I have noticed is after a few days my created restore point goes away. Is there anyway to keep these created restore points around longer?

Hi Huffman,

can think of thing that might be causing it.

3rd party software cleaning up your system

Its size limit has been exceeded, oldest restore point will be over-written.
(you didnt actually say if any restore points are available)

Roy

event viewer should tell you what/why its been removed

I can NOT think of any 3rd party solftware I use to clean my PC. I do have Microsoft Security Essentials as my antivirus.
Attached is a screen shot of my restore points.

As you can see the last time I created a restore point was on 7/15 and I had used Revo Uninstaller to remover a program just before creating the restore point. Presently I have 12 restore points. I am just guessing that that number will be reduced to maybe 2 or 3 by the 22nd of the month.

Thanks Layback Bear. I'll give that try. I doubled the storage space and we will see how that goes.
