Restore the SORT BY for Desktop icons

I tried the repair but no effect.
My issue is, the SORT BY is gone from the content right click on the Desktop.
My Laptop is identical including the OS Home Preminum 64bit and it has the SORT BY but it disappeared from my Desktop. Someone said to get rid of FENCES and I did but still no SORT BY.

ANY suggestions on how to bring this great feature back?

Hello Jagman,

Do you happen to have the program Fences installed? A post at the link below said that uninstalling it restored "Sort by" to the conext menu.

Is "Sort by" missing just on the desktop context menu, or all opened folder context menus as well?

I'll do some more digging as well in the mean time.
