Solved Change font size for desktop icons

Something strange is going on at Sevenforums. I already did this search for the tutorial, saved it
and wanted to reload to print.

Nothing loads but the home page.

Result is I'm prevented from making a print copy to go over line by line. Perhaps it will load from my
message here. Very strange.

Ok, I know I've seen this/read through it probably just on screen previously.

At the selection screen for font and size I know I've had problems. Perhaps I had missed a step in that it appears fonts and size have to be adjusted individually.

It's fortunate that those at 7Forums have been through this before.

I will give one example:

On my homenet I have a shared file containing media. This must load in Explorer.
In this window everything is tiny. What would be the steps to just fix-- I guess it's Explorer-- windows?

Lots of code in this procedure. It hardly seems an improvement over XP, just more kitchen sink options:
transparent, no transparent etc. etc. (My editorial.)

I got back on this problem today and no regedit is required for my need

To change the font size for icons on the desktop:

Start > Search box > windows color and metrics > The dialog opens and the default is desktop >
down arrow to Icon and there once in Icon, the font size can be adjusted (down arrow for larger selections.)

This was obscure to me for a long time but I finally have some options of fonts to look at.

The suggested solution earlier shows some regedits which I have avoided. The secret word is "metrics."
