anyone here have done the restore windows 7 to default factory??? i want to know after the reset is it required product key again for activation??i dun have it..

Hello Khairi,

Since doing a OEM factory restore/recovery is basically the same as restoring a image of the HDD at factory defaults, you will not need to enter the product key or activate again afterwards. It will already be activated. :)

Is this factory-preinstalled WIn7? There should be a COA sticker with a Product Key for your version of WIn7 which you would use if you ever clean reinstall the OS. It is also your proof that you have a legitimate copy of Win7 from whoever built your computer.

This sticker key is not needed for Factory Recovery which will auto-activate, but your saying you don't have the Key is a concern if your computer did not in fact come with a COA sticker for a preinstalled OS.
