Good wine is nectar - no better than nectar it's wine. Actually I think wine can be a good investment if you don't drink it.

Don't you love the long term stockmarket trends financial planners trot out. Of course they always get their cut no matter what.

How do you survive Joan - on 2 glasses od liquid per year. Wine is a basic food staple. Consuming that is not "drinking". It is a lot healthier than all those soft drinks.

My retirement plan is called the Lottery. It works just like any other pension plan: you put money in, and, when you reach your expiry date (figuratively...), you (hopefully) get a bunch of money back.

Fortunately, I'm someone that can have a good time without chemical stimulants. I don't drink, smoke or use any type of recreational drug (and never have). I still manage to enjoy myself.

I don't drink those either I don't like the taste of alcohol that's the problem, or rather a saving grace as I couldn't afford to drink if I did like it

The one I drink all day every day is Tesco Instant Granules at 47 pence a 100 g jar. I know it's cheap but the amount I drink it needs to be.

I do not really drink alcohol either - except an occasional Armagnac (maybe once per month). I still have a bottle of 40 year old Wisky that was given to my father in 1950 by an English friend. I inherited it and it is still sitting in the rack - unopened. I wonder whether it is still any good after 100 years.

I am, however, amazed that Wine is considered alcohol in some countries. Where I come from it is a food staple. Even children drink it (diluted with water). It is a lot healthier than soft drinks, especially the diat kind which is pure chemistry.

I'll assume you have never had "Mad Dog" 20/20 wine.

Of course calling MD 20/20 wine is akin to calling Everclear a fine Scotch or Irish Whiskey.
