Retrieve email addresses from automatic b/up OE and import to WLM2011?

Hi, I used to use Vista and outlook express for emails. Following a laptop meltdown that fried my old laptop I'm now using windows 7 and windows live mail 2011 on my daughters laptop that's not been set up for email before. I haven't yet set anything up for getting emails in, but before I do, can anyone tell me if I can somehow get all my old contacts off my external hardrive that has an automatic backup of my old vista/outlook express system on it? The backup was done in May. I'm not bothered particularly about the actual emails, mainly the addresses! I'm really hoping that its possible to do it, and would appreciate any help that anyone can give, bearing in mind that it needs to be in basic language as I'm not totally computer literate!!!

Hi Samantha, your contacts addresses should be on your mail account (if you saved them) by accessing it directly.
