Right Click Error for Windows 7 Upgrade

I've recently upgraded my desktop from windows vista to windows 7(today in fact) and when it got done installing and my system re-booted, whenever i right clicked on any windows explorer related windows, or the desktop itself, It stopped responding and it had to restart windows explorer.
I've restarted several times and even “sfc /scannow” doesn’t give anything.
I've run out of ideas and i really need help.

Also, please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

I've attached the msinfo file like you asked.
and i filled out me specs to the fullest of my knowledge.
since its a prebuilt, and all i changed was the graphics card, ill link the model number specs here:
Gateway Support - Specifications
I also took out the TV tuner card, since it melted my last graphics card.
If theres anything else you might need to know, just ask.

Did you make sure your system was Windows 7 capable? Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads -> Download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

Are the above disabled and not installed devices intentional? If so, please explain your reasoning so we can understand your troubleshooting steps.


You're running Torrent software without security software. That is a recipe for viruses/malware getting onto your system. Make sure to install security software. I recommend either of these:

• Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows coupled with Malwarebytes. Do not start the free trial of Malwarebytes. Just use the standalone version, update it, and scan your computer once a week with Malwarebytes and with Microsoft Security Essentials.

After installing your security software, update it, and then run full scans today with each program. Report back the results of the scans.

• HotSpot Shield has been causing problems on other systems lately, and those problems are similar to what you describe on your system. I would recommend removing the software.

I Downloaded the Update Advisor and it said it was 100% compatible.
And the Intel(R) 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection was another chip that i took out some time ago, because it dropped connection a lot.
The Hamachi Network Interface is what i use to host games on a game called Terreria, and when i dont use it i disable it because i think it messes with my connection.
I have Norton 360 for Antispyware and Antivirus software, and i do regular scans to see if anythings wrong.
I'll uninstall Hotspot shield and Driver Detective and see if that fixes it.

I would still recommend installing Malwarebytes (do not start the free trial). It often finds things that other antivirus software misses; it is best to have an antimalware and an antivirus program installed and scan with both once a week.


Let us know how things go after removing the Hotspot shield and Driver Detective software.
