Right click hangs Explorer.exe on Windows 7

I am experiencing the same problem on my laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I fixed it once by restoring to a prevous restore point, but the problem has returned. I am not using AVG or any Adobe apps except the flash and pdf readers.

You should consider creating a new thread with all the details about your issue instead of posting it on a old thread like this. This way it may get seen quicker and you may get help with it faster. Plus, it usually turns out that issues, while similar, may not always have the same cause or situation since each system is pretty much unique.

I got the same problem with Windows 7 Explorer hanging when right-clicking an item. After disabling the Preview by clicking "Hide Preview Pane" (button on the upper right on the Explorer window) the problems disappeared

How interesting Terje. I had the same right click issues but I did not have the preview pane active, but I made it active and then disabled it again and my right click works fine again!!

Yes, I found the same issue with Preview and opening large PDF files which litter my computer. Disabling preview addresses the delay in Explorer running. By the way I am very happy with Windows 7 on my two computers and I even was able to address the Ubuntu video driver issue.
