Attempted to find a solution to your problem, albeit was unable to find one. If you really need a dock go to Stardock and down load their free version of Objectdock. Since starting to work with win 7 (November 08) there has be no need for a dock with the new superbar. But to each their own. Objectdock is a good alternative, and it works in 7. :)

Since i run Win7 RTM x64 and use rocketdock myself, i can tell you it has nothing to do with Win7. Try to download and use some icons here:

Get Icons - RocketDock.com

Just copy the downloaded icons into the rocketdock icon folder.

If this doesn't work, i guess you should try to reinstall rocketdock.

I have reinstallled rocketdock twice, (cleaned reg of all trace of it) 2nd time
If I do a path to folder where progs are I don't have a problem, Its only when I use a stack docklet the icons for my programs (NOT rocketdock icons they are fine) are blank.
I have now stopped using the stack docklet just using a path to the folder instead.

i'm using 64 bit win7 may this have something to do with it.

If you must have a dock, and RocketDock isn't working then attempt Objectdock. I played with for a while on x64 7 without any problems. There is a free version available.

RocketDock works fine except that it loses settings for all docklets on restart. Too bad I can't use stacks and animated icons without reentering their settings everytime I restart it...

Although x64 operating systems are "not supported", (which only means that if it does not work the developers will not help you solve issues ;) ), rocket dock, object dock, nexus dock and circle dock all work with x64 systems.

it would appear that the issue is with the stacks applet - there may be a contact point with the developers on the rocket dock site

YOU ONLY MUST DO THIS
If you have windows 7 any version of this OS you have to

enter C: programs files / rocketdock / rocketdock.exe
right click
security
run this program as administrator and that's all
when you restart your pc that's work perfectly

and that's all
I can say this, because i had the same problem and with this works perfectly

I used latest rocketdock with win7x64 and have no issues.

However, when I turn off areo or simple select the Classic theme ( all nonsense off), Rocketdock does not run as smooth. By smooth I mean that the animations are not as smooth, almost stutters to some extent. Turn areo back on and it runs perfect.

I have experienced something similar using StandAloneStack 2. It uses the same stack library as RocketDock stacks. On Vista 64 all the icons are fine. On W7 32 bit, most of the stacks have at least one with the "paper icon" syndrome. I can change icons and sometimes that will fix the particular program, but usually another program in the stack will then have its icon go "paper" on me. It's a shame because other than that the stacks work fine.

i suggest update permissions to the rocketdock folder and include the subfolders and files

start > all programs > right click on rocketdock folder > security tab > advanced > permission tab > change permission > edit > allow full control to this user > apply to: "this folder, subfolder and files"

if you have a lot of users: do this to all users

hope this helps, :)

PS: you might need to do this for any new users you created or the problem would re uccur

I make my own icons (must be .png) and put them into the Rocket Dock icon folder at C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Icons. Then you can right click on the dock icon and go to Icon Settings, highlight your icon and click OK.
