Ok I love rocket Dock, but under windows 7 the new show desktop button gets a lot of use by me. When i use it however it minimizes rocket dock which i then need to max then min a windows to get back.

Does anyone know of a way to keep it on top of the desktop permanently? I want it to be behind anything i open but ALWAYS on top of the desktop. This way even when i use - 'show desktop' - it will stay put.

Try the windows key + m to minimize all the opened applications instead of using the show desktop.

hope this helps,

adverze thats exactly what i need the button for show desktop to do. Has to be a way to change the behavior of the button. I would never get used to KB shortcuts when i can just click something. see what google says

I'm not using rocketdock anymore, but if I remember well, you can try this: "Always on Bottom" makes RocketDock stay below all windows. Disabling "autohide" should allow rocketdock to remain on desktop.
cheers

No that does nothing in the way of keeping it on the desktop when I use show desktop.

Also I dont use auto-hide.

Alas... Im going for the real thing and probably installing OSX on my spare drive sometime this week.
