Greetings!

Firstly i did a search and did not find an answer to my problem.
I actually have 2 seperate docks installed:

1. ObjectDock (by stardock)
This dock works perfectly without a hitch. I added a docklet
called 'StackDocklet' which is working correctly. The StackDocklet
basically allows you to click an icon and it pops-up whatever
folder you have it pointed at in a little glassy/semi-transparent
window so you can access a bunch of stuff that is real important
to you (tee hee). Anyway i suppose most people have an idea of
how the stacks thingy works......

2. StarDock
This dock works as well and it has the same StackDocklet
installed (ObjectDock and StarDock are compat. with each other
for the most part) and the StackDocklet works on it as well,
however, this is where the problem comes into play.....

Everything is fine until i 'QUIT' the RocketDock or until i
restart the system. As soon as i do i get this.....

''RocketDock had a problem loading your icons. Would you
like RocketDock to load the default icons?'' (or something like
that).

This is NOT GOOD! If i have to choose ''YES'' to load defaults
'EVERY TIME'' then it's not worth using! Is it the size of the
icons? They are .png and that's the same as what comes with
the dock (the default icons). I am at a loss as to why it
would have the problem loading the icons??????

Anyone else have this same thing happen?

Thank's In Advance!!!
Dave

P.S. I have tried re-installing everything 2 or 3 times and even
tried some different icons but i still get the same problem.

Have you tried running it in Vista compatibility mode to see if there's any difference?

Yeah, that and sometimes having to run a trusted program as an admin might help, as sometimes certain programs require elevated permissions to have proper access.

Solved

Airbot,

Well sorta!

Of course the only REAL solution is if the author of the software
re-writes some code or...... well the other OR isn't a real OR
because MS isn't gonna re-code W7 just so i can use my
RocketDock.... ha ha ha!

Anyway, i tried what you suggested and actually set RocketDock
to run in VISTA mode and also to run it as ADMINISTRATOR and
so far, so good. I tried my best to MAKE it glitch and could not
even get it to hic-up!

So we will call this one GOOD ENOUGH!

Thanks for the suggestions. All issues should be this
easy to resolve huh?

Cheers!!!
Dave

That's good news Dave. I'm glad you got it to work out and let's hope it stays that way. :)

hey you can take ownership and full control over rocketdock polder in programfile and in registry(start menu>run>regedit>find rocketdock folder then take permission and ownership).this will need no compatibility or no elevated mode permissions.
