Rookie in a mess

Problem Description: I was using Windows 7 (64 bit) and having difficulty operating some CS4 applications even when I changed the compatability settings. I decided to clean install the 32 bit version of Windows 7 to see if this would remedy the problem. I had purchased the Windows 7 Professional package so both discs were available to me. The CS4 situation did not improve. However I am not concerned with the CS4 issue at present
what I would like to do is revert back to Windows 7 (64 bit) and I don't know how.
I went from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 (64 bit) to Windows 7 (32 bit)
and now I want to go back to Windows 7(64 bit) is this possible

You should certainly be able to do that in a similar manner to your original installation of 64 bit---boot from the DVD and do a "clean install" aka "custom install".

You can't do an "upgrade" when moving from 32 to 64. You must clean install.

The prior poster has given you solid advice.+ I would just like to add one point. I just installed Win 7, 3 weeks ago, and I read a lot about the process. What I suggest, (to avoid authenticating with the same key too many times), don't give your number when initially asked. Wait until your done. Try the new system, be sure that you like it (you seem to like changing it), then give your number. You have 30 days, but can get 2 30 day extensions. If you do use the number too many times, you will have to authenticate by phone, if that fails you have to speak to a rep. Even that is not a problem, what you are doing is proper and correct, most of all legit.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit and the full Adobe CS4 suite with no issues and made no compatibility changes. Just curious what you changed or needed to change?

My problem was with the pencil tool in Flash It would not draw a line in either version or any compatability mode. To be clear it would not draw the line until after "release".
There was also an issue with importing mp3 files it wouuld not recognize them when you browsed.On top of that the tool drop downs were slow or not working at all. After you worked for a while the programm got sluggish ie.click on a new tool and wait.
