router password

Since I put on w7 it locked my wireless router and I cannot get into it. My granddauter has a mac and it is wireless and cannot get into my wifi unless she has a pass word...I wrote it down somewhere but I cannot find it...how do search my system to find the pasword..please help

there are websites with default router admin passwords, listed by model if that's what you are looking for. if u used your own and forgot it, then reset the router (paper clip thru a hole, on some of them)

Easy Fix

This could be an easy fix we just need more info like the brand and model of the router and if it is only the wireless password you forgot if so we may be able to help you log into the router and change that.

open internet explorer and in the address bar type:

192.168.0.1 (sometimes 192.168.1.1)

username: admin (usually)
password: is either blank, or password

this will get u in the router homepage, then there'll be an option called 'wireless' or 'security', u should be able to find ur password there, u might need to check a box that says 'show characters'.
