Routine crashes

I've had occasional BSODs since I build this machine in May 2010. Typically once or twice a week. Sometimes immediately after a crash/reboot, the computer will immediately crash 2 or 3 more times from the logon screen. Then it stops crashing. In the past 4-6 weeks, I've also had some times where the computer doesn't resume from sleep. The power light comes on and the fans spin up, but I never see the hard drive light and the monitor won't exit power saving mode.

The OS has not been rebuilt since it was installed in May. The fact that the hard drive light doesn't come back on sometimes after sleep makes me start to wonder if the SSD drive itself is having issues.

The last two blame your Graphics card drivers. I'm going to rum through your latest dump file see if there may be other issues.

Dump blames on your ATI Graphics Driver, do these followings...
- Boot into safe mode with networking
- Uninstall the Display drivers
- Use driver sweeper to remove leftover ATI display driver files Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (This step is important)
- Reboot into safe mode with networking
- Install the latest drivers ATI Radeon, Click on Display Driver (#1)
- Reboot into normal mode

Many people were having issues with Catalyst 10.12, which is what you have installed. Update A.S.A.P. following these "rules".

Download Catalyst v11.1.

Download and install Driver Sweeper.

Boot to Safe Mod, uninstall current Catalyst set up. Run Driver Sweeper to clean up any left overs. Install Catalyst v11.1. Reboot.

Keep us updated on your situation, attaching new dump files if they occur.

I would suggest that you take out the direct and put in the source instead.

Thanks for the analysis. I tried following the advice given, but in Safe Mode I was not able to uninstall the ATI drivers. Uninstall just wouldn't run. I did it in normal mode. I also ran Guru3D Drive Sweeper to remove the leftover video detritus. I have now installed the latest 11.1 drivers.

Additionally, I upgraded the Intel Matrix Storage and the JMicron RAID driver.

I'll see what happens from here.

As for the stop0x124, I guess that's going to take more work. I suppose updating the drivers alone might correct the problem. I had already run memtest and found no errors. I'm wondering if a bad SSD could be causing this? But if that's the case, would there even be recorded mini-dump files?

Finally, is there a recommended (preferably free) hardware stress-testing program I could try?

Really this does seem like a hardware problem now. Attached is my latest dump. But let me add that my primary drive, the OCZ Agility 60 GB ssd is in a drive caddy so that I can swap drives and play around with other operating systems on occasion. Earlier this week, I had removed the drive and I was playing with Linux Mint 10 on a 4 GB USB flash drive and I had the machine spontaneously reboot twice. So I suppose it can't be the OCZ drive causing the problem.

I appreciate all the help and patience! This is my first home-built system and I'm a bit bothered I can't seem to get it right.
