Hi there,

Here's a summary of the issue:

Goal:
Tweak Win 7 to forward OpenVPN traffic

Actions:
Start -> Right-click My Computer -> Manage
Services
Right-click Routing and Remote Access -> Properties -> Automatic
Right-click Routing and Remote Access -> Start

Source:
https://forums.openvpn.net/topic7806.html

Result:
No internet!

I'm running
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
Router: Asus RT-N16
Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2

Any idea why this is happening and how I can resolve it?

Thank you very much for your time in advance!

If the problem is there, in command prompt:
Code:
ipconfig

openvnp client and openvpn server can connect succesfully and all works? Did you do the tweaks on openvpn server or openvpn client? Who has no internet... openvpn server or client?

Hi there,

Sorry embarrassing mistake! I was too quick to judge that I have no connection..got the impression from the connection icon in the system tray (picture below)

no connection pic.jpg

After running ping & ipconfig, I noticed that I have internet! sorry about that

Still wondering why the icon shows as it does though!

Thank you for your reply
