I need help recovering from a very frustrating situation.
A few days ago i was working on my dual-boot linux ubuntu installation when i think i accidentally deleted the hidden $Recycle Bin folder from one of the user accounts.next day when trying to log into windows ,the login screen failed to appear.the exact sequence of events is as soon as windows starts up,a please wait appears and after disappearing the screen goes black and again this process continues.even safe mode has the same problem.sometimes in the safe mode it starts giving the text"RPC server too busy" or "RPC server not available" and sometimes "the remote procedure call failed to execute". tried startup repair which gives nothing, system restore which shows restore points but gives the error "failed to reference memory" and some binary code.did a resource checker using sfc/scannow but it gives the error "a system repair is pending".
On top of all that ,the laptop has many original software installed of which i dont know the keys, heck i dont even know the windows key as the sticker at the back of the laptop is worn away.I DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE THEM.
Can anyone please guide me of any remaining option other than clean installing?would be a great help!
Thanks in advance
