Hi

have copyid my win t 64 bit cd content to my pc in a folder called win 7

have collected all updates with a toll called WUD

have used RT 7 lite ti slipstream sp1 into my win7 folder.
Then I have integrated security updates to my win 7 folder.

have created a ISO file with this.
Installed on my laptop and when running windows update it seems to not find any security updates of those I have integrated. Fine :-)

then I have integrated all the net framework updates into my win 7 folder (18 I think).
created new ISO file now with sp1 + sec. updates and net framework.

Installed on my laptop in a new fresh installation.
Run windows update that finds all the net framework updates.

why that when I have integrated them?

Do I do something wrong?

RT 7 Lite is buggy, a hack (IMO) & hasn't been updated or supported in years. Follow the instrux in the link Greg provided above (I use the same guide). For tweaks, reg, program addons (such as dotnet 4.5), use Wincert's WinToolkit rather than RT7. Leave component removal alone IMO. Also why bother slipstreaming SP1 when you can legally download an official SP1 integrated ISO from here.

very nice working fine... using x64 win 7 ultimate with sp1 english. Could not find danish.
just one problem...
after install i run windows update... found some updates.
Installing them.. 10 i think. proberly some that have come after 2014-08-27 where WUD have been updated last time.
Boot laptop run win update again and then it say "windows could not search for new updates"
This ends out whit an error... code 80073712

I will try again.. this time I will just select all in the WUD except SP1 which I alreday have.

AT the WUD download there are 2 or 3 updates it can't download because they are not there???

Ask SIW2 these questions in Updater tutorial Comments section. He is usually pretty fast at getting back to you there. I would only select those choices that he shows checked in the illustration in tutorial.

Do you have Updates queued with a ! on your ShutDown button in Start menu? Those must be cleared first.

Are you sure you're connected to the web?

Hi... thanks will do.

no updates in shut down and yes web ok.

I will first try with new inst. where I just take all updates. If not working I will ask SIW2

Installing this and boot
I got a picture on screen "you have now installed win 7 sp1" ???
I started windows update again and this time it found 168 updates????

My ISO file is 3,7 GB

something is not functioning..

"Sounds" like you used 7 Ultimate RTM (no service pack) ISO...

... using x64 win 7 ultimate with sp1 english.

Are you SURE you used ISO with SP1 integrated? The correct ISO for Ultimate w/SP1 English (Media Refresh) is X17-59465.iso

yes x17-59465.iso is the one I have..
I tried again with this iso..
integrated all updates I have collected with WUD

Then I got a 4,2 GB iso.
But this gave me another error when finish.

Something about that it "could not finish installation...please boot into windows installation".

I then booted and it ends in same error.

I will try one more time..

maybe there is a update that I should not integrate?

Another thing... this WUD can I just put in updates that is not there... f.ex. danish language..and then it will also be integrated.
Or is there some structur in the folders with non secure or secure updates?

As for your other problems & questions, as Gregrocker said you're best bet is to ask in SIW's instructional thread, he is best suited to answer. A word of advice when posting there: Please provide the full error message(s)... "Something about..." is not much to go on.

succes.. i think

I have deselected some of the updates..
I have integrated all updates in this 5 folders:

.NET Framework 3.5.1 Updates
Non-Security Updates
Optional Updates
Security Updates
WMP12 Updates

I have installed this image and run windows update.
It found about 40 updates...
I installed and booted the times needed and no errors...
no more updates available it says.

I don't why I had all that problems... but now I have a image that works...
This I will copy and work on the last updates and see what happens.

I have been around in this forum and MSFN and I can see next project will be to install a win 7 with all programs and other stuff and then take a image of that without hardware settings and use this to install on other computers

Thanks for all your help :-)

Can anybody tell me why we all are sitting and making the same image with updates.
Is it not allowed to share a full updated image to others so that we could skip this step?
I assume other people can use my image if just they have there own license?

You should ask your questions in Update 7 installation media since SIW2 is expert on this. I see you asked no questions there in the Comments section but have started another thread which is against forums' policy.

If you leave Optional Updates out then you'll have many to install during the early rounds of Updates. I would include all of these as many are critical to performance, and many are offered also based on the hardware you install upon which WUD will scan, providing drivers and patches needed.

I know and I will try integrate them to...
But my problems with errors dissapered when they where out.

But now I have a working image and I will copy this and try integrate optional updates
