I have a dual boot system where one of my OS's is Windows 7 32bit. I recently upgraded to a nVidia RTX 2060 Super for my Win10 OS - which is phenominal, btw.

But, I can only get 1280x800 on my windows 7 OS. That is the generic windows drivers. I downloaded the last Windows 7 32bit drivers - 391.35, but they will not recognize the card, and therefore, will not install.

Is there an alternative, or am I stuck with this resolution?

I'm sorry but the bad news first, is that Nvidia stopped supporting 32-bit Windows (7/8/10) around April 2018. There is still support for 64-bit Windows (7/10).

So, what to do?
1) The obvious choice would be to re-install the Windows 7 as 64-bit, Forum member SIW2 will know if that is possible with existing licence.
2) Alternatively, undo the dual-boot and re-install your Windows 32-bit as a Virtual Machine in Windows 10. That way you can start-up Windows 7 within WIndows 10 and use compatible virtual graphics drivers.

Thanks for the reply iko... the problem is that re-installing windows 7 as a 64bit (and I still have the 64bit disk that came with the original purchase) would result in having to re-install all the programs - I'm not sure I even have the install .exe on many of them.

And I know I have some really old things (16bit programs) that wouldn't even run in a 64bit environment.

Oh well... I guess I can get by with Win7 in the basement, so to speak.
