Solved Run %appdata%

Hi

I used to run %appdata% from the run command on the start menu. Recently when I try this I am presented with the run program with dialogue rather then the required folder just opening as it always did.

Can anyone tell me what has happened?

I have tried choosing Windows Explorer as the application with whcih to run the command to no avail.

Why don't you just go to C > Users > Your name > AppData. Note that is a hidden folder. You have to set it to "show" in Explorer > Organize > Folder and Search Options > View.

Are you entering it in the Start search box or Run command?
I just type %appdata% the start search box.

Primarily because I don't like having hidden folders/files displayed all the time and it's a easier to do this than change the explorer config every time I want to access app data.
