Hello
I'm new here and very glad I found you.

I have a problem with my pc ... Before the automatic update that installed the Service pack 1, everything was fine. After the installation my laptop started having problems with Visual C++ Runtime. The problem appears at the windows startup and when im repairing Visual C++ it stops for 2-3 startups. then it appears again and all over again. I could not move the bar of the windows that i was opening, push several of the buttons on my screen and some other strange things. Yesterday, I installed a program and since then I can not open ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as Administrator. A windows that displays

"Windows is not possible to find 'a program'.
Make sure you enter the name correctly and try again."

appears.

Have i done anything wrong?
Is it a virus and if so why it didn't caught by my antivirus (AVG Internet Security 2011 fully updated)?

Thank you in advance

EDIT: Sorry for my english :$ im greek user

Hi, and welcome to the forums. Sometimes, glitches occur. One doesn't have to do anything wrong.

If you want to check for a virus etc. Then go here;

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.50.1 - FileHippo.com

Download the software, update the database, and run a FULL scan.

If it finds anything, post the log here.

My pleasure. Often, malwarebytes will find something that other programs missed. It is best to check if malware is causing problems before trying any other diagnostics. If the program finds anything, then post the log here, and we can move on to other troubleshooting.

What is running under admin mode?

Do you have administration rights on the machine?

As i told you, my problem is that I can't run any program As Administrator... it appears the messange i show you previously... now i opened my laptop on safe mode and looks like "run as administrator" works fine... i'm running whole computer scan with both AVG and Malwarebytes and i ll post results when scans will finish

And yes, i have all Administrator's rights, I Am the administrator user

at the moment, mwbytes didn't found anything and AVG found some "harmfull" viruses in recycle bin, some trojans from keygens/patches and some files that was locked and could not be tested, as C:/BOOT/BDC, C:/BOOT/BDC.LOG, C:/hiberfil.sys, C:/pagefile.sys and some other

Well, if you have trojans and other malware on your system, you can try removing it with malwarebytes, and also with:

SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

but in a lot of cases, although you can sometimes remove the malware, you can not easily repair any damage it did by changing system settings etc.

If you use cracked software and stuff like keygens etc, these are often infected with various malware.

Usually, the only sensible solution is to do a clean install of Windows, after scanning ALL drives and partitions, and any other media you have for malware.

Further troubleshooting on an infected system is usually pointless.

because ofmwbytes couldn't find anything, and everything was locked with AVG (even the desktop folder appeared locked), i closed laptop and i insert AVG RESCUE DISC (The lastest one).... Now everything seems to be scaned normaly with no locked files or anything similar.... It has already found 4 Trojan horses SHeur3.AVBU

Indeed, it seems your machine is badly infected. You may manage to get it working properly again, but various trojans etc are notoriously difficult to find and remove. Usually I advise a new install of Windows. It may be possible to clean your machine up and get it running again, but often the amount of time and effort expended is in no sensible relation to the results.

A new install works straight away.

The trojans you have are the result of using cracked software.

Many of these things are designed to defend themselves, and will prevent or subvert anti-malware programs trying to remove them.

Yes, I understand the problems involved, only too well, about 80% of incidents like this are related to malware. If you try to use cracked software that's what happens.

There is not a lot you can do about it. Only a clean install, and then don't try to use cracked software in future. You should backup what you can of your data, after scanning it, and then do a clean install.

There is no way to sensibly troubleshoot an infected system. Removing the malware and troubleshooting a system costs a great deal of time and effort and success is not guaranteed.

So, unfortunately, there is nothing more I can do for you.

This might help you; http://www.eset.com/home/products/online-scanner

and there are other similar systems. Like the trend micro system:

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

But there are no guarantees with any of these things.

Just another thought. If you can afford to buy an external USB hard drive I think it will be worth every Drachma. :) I've seen 2TB (terabyte) drives for under $100 US. 1TB drives for about half that. With an external drive you can back up and save all of your music, photos, etc. Once that's done you can wipe the infected hard drive clean and clean install Windows 7 and all of your programs. After you do that you can make a system image and store it on the external hard drive. If your machine ever gets infected again you can use your latest system image and get back on line in about 30 minutes or less.

In that case it is against forum rules to give you any help at all. Nobody on this forum will help you once they know you are using cracked software.

You are entitled to your opinions, just as everybody else is, but you are not entitled to use cracked and pirated software, neither is anybody else. There is no justification for doing so, it merely causes a lot of problems, and is also incidentally illegal.
