I wonder if anyone can help me solve this problem for my grandaughter. Every time she tries to click on anything on her computer the number 5 keeps running along the bar.Ihave had to do this. On my little computer because she cannot get on to anything on hers.

Have you tried another keyboard?

Since it is just one specific key, it definitely sounds like a malfunctioning keyboard.

Thank you for replying to my post. I have solved the problem by doing a system restore. I don't think I explained the problem very well. It happened as soon as you started the computer, you didn't need to touch any key. I think she must have went in to a rogue website or downloaded something from a rogue site.
