Hello,

Have a new HP PC with Windows7
A real beginner with Windows7; my last PC that this one replaced ran XP, so
I don't even have any Vista experience.

Have a quite old radio control program that I really like.
About 5 yrs old, and came on Floppies.

Company that wrote and made this software no longer exists.

Ran just fine on my XP PC.
Pretty sure it's the program is a 32 bit application.

I do have a Floppy drive on new PC

When trying to get it going in Windows7, a msg come up that the applic is not compatibility with this version of Window7, etc.
(not the exact wording, but that's the gist of it)

Anything I can try or do ?
I remember that XP had some Compatibility option(s) where you could have XP run really old programs in Compatibility-Mode.
Seemed to work well with very, very, old programs like ancient games, etc.

Really somewhat surprised that if it runs well under XP, it won't under Windows7
Have no idea if it would have run under Vista.

BTW: this is a new PC with lots of memory, and am pretty sure it's the Windows7 64 bit version that HP installed.
Is there some way to tell the PC that this program is 32 bits ? A software switch, or something ?

I thought the OS "automatically" determines if 64 or 32 bit application. Not true ?

Anything like that in Windows7 ? Any suggestions ?

Much thanks,
Bob
