Hey all,
I am looking for a way to run excel with a permanent processor affinity in windows 7. I've found a few options, such as a temporary registry hack (would've worked if it was permanent), a power shell command (which would work if there was a way to make windows run the script every time excel was opened), and a batch file shortcut. None of these things quite address the my problem.
No matter how excel is opened (a.k.a. whichever shortcut, file, or script is used to open it), I want the processor affinities automatically assigned without user input. Back in XP the registry hacks were permanent, so those were pretty awesome, but I don't know how to rig something like that up in 7. Any advice you guys could provide would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ashi
