Runtime error

Anyone had the following message and cured it?

"This application has asked the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."

It occurs on trying to open links or read CDs.

There should be a hotfix for this error through windows update... Is your machine up to date?

What browser are you using when you get that error?

runtime error

My browser is Internet explorer and I use live mail and Yahoo the fault occurs on both. I have automatic windows updates.
