S-video to TV problems with WIN 7, please help!

I recently upgraded graphics card (well, to a nicer AFFORDABLE option) to a Saphire Radeon HD 3650 512 mb ddr2 dvi/tvo agp.

When connecting to the TV in my living room via HDMI everything works nice. However, my computer is in my bedroom and I often want to hook my computer to the TV to watch movie that way. I purchased the style of cables pictured at the following link.

However, when I connect to my TV... the color is in black and white and there is constant screen flicker. I tried adjusting the settings in windows and via Catalyst control but I can't seem to fix the problem. Anyone know what I can do?

yrwintersnow, welcome to the forums.

It could be that because that cable you bought is a standard 4 pin s-video cable, and unless Sapphire did something different the card has a non-standard 7 pin connector. Your ard should have come with one or both of the following,

both of which are 7 pin on the s-video end.

found this and plugged it in:

Fixed the screen flicker but it still displays in black and white. any ideas?

it looks like it comes down to what the TV out option is set to; PAL, NTSC and whatever variations of each are available,
