My Windows 7 Home Premium desktop got an infection of MS Spyware Removal Tool. Cleared that up with Malwarebytes, but now the OS is fried.

Works great in safe mode, but after starting normally, the system freezes within a few minutes, even if no applications are launched. There are no system errors of any kind.

The Dell PC did not come with any system discs.

Any advice? What other information do I need to post?

1) Run an offline sfc scan with a system repair disk.

If you did not previously make a system repair disk, you can download a neosmart one.

Download Windows 7 System Recovery Discs — The NeoSmart Files

2) Another thing you can try is a clean boot procedure.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If neither helps, you can try restore from the dell factory partition if this computer came preinstalled with win7. Theres also a way to clean install windows and activate with the sticker key. But first try the other solutions.

Bill - Thanks for your help.

The sfc scan did not find any problems.

It appears that Opera and Bittorrent can't download the linked files in safe mode. I might have to use another computer & flash-drive transfer them, because my FUBAR computer can't do internet anything in normal non-safe mode.
