Safe to delete all contents of disc cleanup ?

Hi, I ran a disc cleanup a couple of days after I got my new PC and there is approx 1gb of material which it is showing as files for removal which I think are mostly system files.

Is it safe to delete all of this content ?

Yes, the content of Disk Cleanup are all unnecessary files.

Is there any difference between running disc cleanup and CCleaner and if the latter is preferred do you check all boxes in the cleaning options including advanced cleaning too ?
