Hey guys.

I'm new around here, so I apologize if I break a rule.

I run an Internet radio station, GamersRequest, and I use SAM Broadcaster 4 to broadcast.

I leave it on 24/7 to play music. My problem is that sometimes, randomly, it'll just stop responding. I've tried everything I can think of to stop it doing this. E.g. leaving it open on screen, minimizing it etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running Ultimate 64Bit.

Try re-installing with FireBird as the default server. SAM with FireBird, on my x64 build, runs excellently.

NOTE::

Your issue might also be caused by a certain files format. I know SAM is pretty hard to disrupt, but certain file types may not agree, and SAM might metaphorically think "what the hell is this?".

Your problem is not with your OS, it's just what SAM does when it's been on & running for that long. You need to make sure you take time to close your SAM down every so often and reboot your computer.

I also run an online metal station, and we need to do this with our slave server.

Mic Config with SAM using Windows 7

Man I have been wrestling with this. I have a laptop with a built in mic. I like using my external mic, the one that I plug in but the configuration settings have been like a maze.

Does anyone operate SAM Broadcaster using Windows 7 and have a good mic configuration map for me?

Thanks!

Sorry a bit late but, sam does not like being on 24/7. Restart the box, matbe twice a week.

Treat the recording mixer (on win7) as max output, things will never excead these levels. So for wav levels try half way, and try it.

Record to a file and listen.

The mic I find is best at max, then in sam, reduce it, so you peak, somewhere in the yellow band.

Hope that helps some.
