I have a shared folder that i mapped so 2 computers can share the files. Both computers have access 2007 installed.

What i want to do is have them able to open the same access file and have it update while they both have it open?

Man it has been a long time since I messed with access, but I do recall a method where it actually duplicates the file allows the changes from two sources, then sync's them back into a single file.

Anyhow what you want is possible if not exactly the way you are looking to do it. I'm sorry I haven't had my coffee yet and as I said it's been awhile.

thanks for the reply anyway but i actually figured it out.

I never use it and at the office they have 2 girls typing leads and they wanted it to update but it wasnt.

all i did was change the security settings to allow network with full permissions and it worked...its a bit laggy but it will do.

if theres some other way that isnt as slow the im all for it
