A few months ago I purchased a W7Pro disc from NewEgg which didn't have a 25-character Product Key and was therefore uninstallable. After several months of seeking a refund I gave up on Newegg, who I thought was reputable, and will never buy anything from them again. (net loss about $140)
I want to continue using W7 for another year or more on my W7 machines but see no legitimate ways to fix any of my W7 machines, none of which had product keys available upon purchase from a local used computer dealer...but are still functional, despite their lack of available install discs with legit product keys. I made an effort to purchase a legit W7 product key. Correspondense with Msoft resulted in a shitload of crapware that took me several days to destroy...detailed elsewhere.
My primary computer (this one) is still functinal, despite all the useless notifications?

I don't mind paying for a W7 license. Show me the way . BTW, I see that Amazon offers W7 software it claims is installable--wonder how reliable it would be?

Hi Nick,

Are there any COA stickers on any of your comps, lappy's check the battery compartment.
If any of them have and they are for W7, they will be genuine

You bought Windows 7 Pro OEM from Newegg and it did not come with a key ?????

I find that hard to believe and harder to believe that Newegg would ignore you. A lot of us here have been using them for years without issue.

I would not go with Amazon either.
