Hi, was looking for a bit of help with audio samples in Windows 7.

For the last few years have been using Mac but now have changed over to a PC using Windows 7. Wondered is there a software program like Red Snapper or Audio Finder for Windows 7 so you go through your sound files and preview wav/audio samples automatically so you don't have to click to preview/play?

Alternatively is there a plug-in so when you scan through audio files it automatically plays in the preview side bar?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

All the best.

To actually answer your question, I need to know exactly what I'm looking for. What is the name of the program you used in OS X?

No worries. I think Petey can answer your needs better than I. I don't use the sidebar for any music programs like this. I could say iTunes or Winamp, but I don't know of side-bar type apps.

I just wanted to make sure you get dedicated help in one thread instead of some help in multiple threads.

Hey Petey, thanks for your reply...:)

The application I was using in Mac OSX was called Snapper Audio found here:

Snapper by Audio Ease

They idea is you can go through folders and it automatically plays audio files found in the browser window....

I know you can import files in ITunes etc and scan through them that way and preview audio in Ableton.

But I was really looking for an app or maybe a plugin for for one of the media players that automatically plays files in the sidebar preview rather than having to click on the wav and then click play on the sidebar.

I have tried 'Extreme Sample Converter' for Windows found here:

EXTREME SAMPLE CONVERTER

but as cool as it is, it plays the files but you can't access them unless you go into another browser window and find the file that way.

Hope that all makes sense!

I know it probably seems a bit inconsequential but was just wondering as I can be a bit of a samplehead and might save some RSI in the future!!:D

All the best.
