Solved Samsung rv511 Ethernet Controller drivers

I have reinstalled windows 7 and cannot connect to the internet anymore, in device manager there is a yellow mark beside the Ethernet Controller, Network Controller and PCI Simple Communications controller, I have tried the Samsung site for the drivers but they dont work, Im at my wits end here now, could some one please point in the right direction. the ethernet controller hardware id is :

If you want fast and meaningful help on this Forum then please fill your System Specs in detail.

Obviously you have downloaded the wrong drivers, if at all. To be able to help one must first have a look at your detailed System Specs. Maybe you are unable to load them. In that case please note them down and send them as text in this thread. You can fill them up for the future later, when you are able to connect to the Net.

First, as the abpve poster (Wanchoo) said, please, please fill in your system specs Second, make sure that your ethernet card isn't disabled in the bios. Also, double check and make sure that you are looking for the correct model computer's drivers.

Further to my earlier message with the scanty information given about the System Specs, I suggest going to DriverPack Solution >> Download drivers installation software and downloading Driver Pack Solution Full 12.3, I presume you need the 64-bit pack. The pack should be containing the Ethernet Driver that you are looking for. The package is quite hefty (3 gigabytes) but then you shall have all the drivers that you shall ever need.

For individual drivers you can try downloading the 7 megabytes Lite version. I am not quite sure what it has as I don't use a Samsung computer, but I presume it has links for the downloading of individual drivers that you need.

I found the drivers I was looking for EVENTUALLY Found them on this site Realtek

thanks. how do i pm? It may end up being a hard drive error but just wanted to try reinstalling windows. I accidentally installed onto my partition which where i noticed the driver issue for the internet. Why these are not on a disk is beyond me

it's a shame apart from this that samsung do not still make laptops. Obviously apart from the specs side of it what would you recommend? going to buy a new laptop soon.

Did the drivers work ?

Lenovo are a pretty good brand, depends what you use it for

Right click my computer, go to device manager, go to ethernet card right click select upgrade drivers and navigate to where you downloaded my ones

it says windows can not find driver software but i asked it to install from win 7 files

sorry that was me did not download correctly, they worked for network adapters but i still have nothing for network controller or pci communications controller

Have you unzipped the drivers folder?
