Sata -IDE drivers

Hi,
as far as i can tell i have an amd 780g chipset (intergrated with the motherboard ,the hd3200 package)

The problem im having is my pc wont recognize my sata ide controller and uses "Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller"

Can anyone point me in the direction for the drivers?

Well, this will put you into the game, I hope:

1. Take the model AND VERSION NUMBER of your motherboard, for example, "GA-MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1".

2. In your Google search bar, staying with the previous example, try something like this:
GA-MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1 +SATA +drivers
(Notice the + signs which effectively demand the search engine doesn't deviate.)

3. Choose what will very probably be the first choice at the top of what Google comes up with.

4. If you find yourself on your motherboard's page with all the drivers listed for your rig, bookmark that page, because you'll want to return there many times in the future.

5. And now you should be able to snoop around and look for your drivers. You might want to select your best guesses and return here to get some expert (not me) to confirm your choice.
