Solved Save windows updates

hi, am sorry if this has been ans zillion times am asking as am confused abt it ... i have installed win 7 ultimate without any updates, need to download them now bt total mb is 304 mb ... bt if something goes wrong with os in comming months all updates will b lost ... so how do i save these upadtes for further use also ???

No bluez you got to put them inmate a lot of it is security stuff. The updates will be stored in the machine to look them up go to Updates see pic and in the setting s choose what I advised but that is my choice it is a whole lot safer.

The easiest way is to create an image of the installation once all updates have been applied:

You can then restore that image (which contains the original installation + all the updates) if you need to.

Alternatively, download them and store them on an external USB, to apply at a later date:
Windows Updates Downloader (WUD)


The first method is less work.

I've used Windows Updates Downloader (WUD) plenty of times, works well especially when I have to slipsteam the Windows 7 media with the latest updates.

thanx 2 all 4 replies ... Windows Updates Downloader (WUD), will it make a single file of all updates i choose ??? or i have 2 install them all manually 1-by-1 ???

1 by 1. It will download the update standalone package.
