saving account config

Hi,

I have this problem: I bought a new PC with pre-configured Windows 7. There was already a user account with name "XYZ" (I call it this way for privacy reasons).

I configured my PC... and renamed the account to "Home". Now... many references are still to this old XYZ account. I know, I should have created a new account and deleted the old XYZ account, but I didn't.

Now I don't want to delete this account and create a new one because then I have to re-configure EVERYTHING on the computer, my settings, desktop, firefox settings etc..

Is there ANY way I could save my account settings, such as the desktop and program configs and import them to the new created account?

Please help.

You should be able to copy your old user profile to the newly created account. See this page for easy instuctions.

I once tried this and ran into the problem that the "Copy to' button is greyed out. For that, there is a workaround. See this page.
