Solved Saving messages to a non WLM folder

I keep a copy of my internet purchase order confirmations in a totally separate folder. They are normally saved as WLM documents and I can open them. However occasionally one is stored as _EML and this will not open.

How can I save/convert it to WLM?

Try renaming the saved _eml to .eml
ie: tom.eml

The folder containing the files has 3 columns. The third is the file format and the first is the file name. I can only rename items in the first column - is there any other way to change the file format?

Try copy to your desktop and rename it there and see if Windows Live Mail will open it.
