scan found errors on hdd and fixed them, do I still have a problem?

My hdd made some click click beep noises... so I scanned it with seatools. It found several errors the first check and fixed them all. The second scan it found 2 errors and fixed them. What I am not sure of is whats next?

Is my hdd going to die on me anyways? Was that what the noises were implying?

Or are the errors a one time thing and the noises were just letting me know there was disk errors that needed to be fixed?

how old is the drive? as rule of thumb clicking is a bad sign and normally means back it up and replace it NOW!

ive never heard a harddrive beep.. mainly as they have no speakers to make such noises.

What does SMART report?

Clicking is never a good sign and you may have a dieing HDD. No matter what I would do a backup before proceeding any further. It's possible you had a few bad sectors and they have been reallocated and the hdd well continue to function, or bad sector may continue to develop, in that case the drive needs replacement.

Actually I have had 2 computers that the hard drives clicked every once in a while the first one I got which is about 5 years old now is still going strong, not actually sure if still clicks because its in another room running headless and I connect with RDP and my other computer is a little more than a year old and it still clicks once in a while . Now if your hard drive clicks constantly then you have a problem

If you are worried about loosing all the files and stuff on your computer you may want to read this thread ( you need another drive or USB though )
